The Yowie - All The News That’s Fit To Make Up

Say what you will about The Yowie, but it is a mysterious beast. Some would say that it is non-existent, but then, we aren’t one of them.

But I am sure that you expected something different froma n “About Us” Page. Well too bad! This is my site, and I don’t wanna say much. No, scratch that I want to say plenty, I just don’t want to say it about us.

The Name

Everyone (OK my mum) asked “Why is it called The Yowie?”

Well, the answer is simple: The Yowie was chosen as the name of this site because we wanted to stay, intentionally, out of view. WeI don’t want to be (nor are we likely to be) stars. no ego here, no need for bright lights, no carrying on like idiots that think they hung the moon. no, this is a site for people that like to make themselves laugh, and if anyone else gets in the way, that is their problem!

And we don’t care if no one reads this site. If no one enjoys the humour and the site never gets a visitor, we still get plenty out of writing it, and making shit up as the tagline goes!

Like The Yowie, we also don’t need the attention. Out of sight is out of mind and happy, and that is how we plan to stay.

So we will stay, as individuals, out of sight, and remain mysterious and “fly under the radar” if we can. Sure, it will make for a hard time promoting this bugger, but we like making shit up, and that is what we will continue to do, come what may.
